Pompom bookmarks

Don't stick with those ready-to-buy yarn bookmarks. They are just too mainstream. Your kid deserve something cooler than that. Why not attach a pompom on a popsicle stick? It is not very costly and a pompom is easier to find than a string. That scruffy thing will make your kid want to read a book in an instant.

Belted book cover

Is your kid the kind who does not want to carry a bag in going to school and ends up losing his  books and notebooks every now and then? Your old belt will help you solve the problem. This has some sort of classic feels to it which will cost you nothing. It will help keep books and notebooks intact and your kid will never lose anything again.

BIY Book clutch

Are the pages of your kid's favorite book starting to fall off. Don't ditch that book just yet. All you need are pieces of cloth, a zipper and adhesive. Your kid will never lose a single page of his/her book again. The fun part of this is you can customize it yourself or according to your kids' likes.

Pencil Desk Accessories

Let's face it, those pencils are just scattered everywhere inside and outside the house (even in your car). Gather them up and make these awesome pencil desk accessories. You just need some construction glue and imagination to pull this one off. Who would have thought that pencils can be pencil holders at the same time? Plus, your kids will love what you did on their desks for sure.

Composition Book iPad/tablet cover

Don't throw that old composition book or notebook just yet. Tear off the pages and put some more garters and some carton strips and you have now a cover for your tablet. It's something that's unique that your kid wants to have. Plus, you don't have to spend anything for it.

DIY watercolor cards

Instead of throwing away your kids' leftover watercolor, use the last squirt of paint to make DIY cards. This is a great project with your kids to prepare for celebrations and invitations that need these cards. You do not have to buy the ready made ones in the store that costs so much. The good thing is you can keep them in a box and use them when needed.
